Anthony Travalgia: Brad Marchand not happy with off-ice officials as Bruins beat Rangers Brad Marchand missed nearly half of the third period as he was pulled from the ice by the concussion spotter and was not happy with the timing of their call.

In-building spotters flag the possible concussion to the NHL in New York. It is the league's NY person that decides whether to pull somebody, not the in-building spotter.

Way to miss the point. Marchand's right, regardless of who was responsible.

except marchand called out the in building spotter, specifically stating that he's eating pizza and cheeseburgers and not watching the game, when it could have been a tie up in NY..was the original poster's point. Way to miss the point.

Pretty sure only concussed people are employed to do this job. Marchand is right to voice his frustration the way he did. He did admit later on he shouldn't have phrased it the way he did.

Almost 30 minutes elapsed to pull a guy out of the game to ensure his safety? Jesus, good thing there was an intermission or he could have finished the game and hit the showers before they got to it. poop offside challenges happen at light speed compared to this.

The (frank) are you talking about? What does any of this have to do with punchanello's comment? Slow down and read, champ.

His comment stated the spotter makes a judge call to whether he needs to get NY involved to pull a player out.
That doesn't take 30 minutes. Unless your not paying attention or all forms of communication suddenly stopped working in MSG and NHL HQ.

Now you missed the point, slow down n read champ.

Obviously someone (frank)ed up. He was stating that it wasn't necessarily on the in-building spotter.

Like pulling teeth in here sometimes...

I can't believe I have to spell it out, but ...no. That's not what his comment said. And, to beat a (frank)ing dead horse, you miss the point.

I'm (frank)ing done. Jesus Christ.

Not a unreasonable reach to think the spotter (frank)ed up, is there really just one person and one phone in NY to make the decision? If you think a guy is hurt you find a way to make the call in a timely fashion.
That's why Brad singled out the spotter and expressed his frustration.

He also spoke to the comment later and said he was frustrated with what took place and that the spotters are there to protect them and shouldn't have taken it out on them.

Thankfully no one was hurt, the reason for the delay whatever it was will be addressed and corrected.

"In-building spotters flag the possible concussion to the NHL in New York. It is the league's NY person that decides whether to pull somebody, not the in-building spotter."

So spotter thinks player could be hurt.
Spotter contacts NY
NY says take him to quiet room.

Which is exactly what I said.

I'm wondering on the 30 min delay as was Brad.

The only thing wrong with the decision was not to keep Marchand out of hockey completely

Coming from a Flames fan that currently employs Zac Rinaldo and whos coach just resigned because of racist comments.

Brad Marchand currently has the same amount of points as your top two players combined. So (frank) off.

None of that changes the fact that Marchand is the cheapest player in the league.

But aww muffin if I upset you you can always go back to felching with your back door man Marchand.

So, the in-building spotter could have told NY and they could have waited the 30 minutes...which was his original point. Who knows who (frank)ed up, but it wasn't necessarily the in-building spotter.

I should be able to interpret comments the way people do, and not actually interpret the way it was meant? Alright.
